“It means a lot to me because it shows for a young player how mature he is,” Houston said. “He thinks about the big picture. I think he’s going to get better.”
“I think he’s pleased with his approach,” Houston said of Shumpert’s rehabilitation. “I like the fact that Shumpert expects great things from himself and he’s not afraid to expect those things. He’s vocal about it, and what he does is he balances it out with his effort and commitment.”
