“Shump has skills.”

That’s what ESPN the magazine had to say in their latest online issue.

Shumpert, who goes by the pseudonym “2wo 1ne” was recently featured on Sam Alipour’s Media Blitz of ESPN the magazine where he was interviewed about his music and his upcoming mix tape, “Th3 #post90s”.

From Alipour:

“What emerged from recording sessions in Atlanta, Chicago and New York are twenty-one tracks — some good, some not so hot. But taken as a whole, “Th3 #post90s” might very well herald the arrival of the sports world’s first good rapper.”

According to Alipour, Shumpert is the sports world’s first “good rapper”

Alipour also brought up other athlete turned artists such as Shaquille O’Neal, Deion Sanders and Shumpert’s teammate Jason Kidd.

“I’ve been covering athlete-rappers for years.” Alipour says. “(Shumpert) might be the best I’ve heard. The most potential, for sure.”
